Wallace State Community College invites prospective students and their families to Lion Fest, an open house event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the James C. Bailey Center on the main campus. This exciting event offers a chance to explore the college’s wide range of academic, applied technology and health science programs, dual enrollment opportunities, student services and campus life.

“Lion Fest is a great opportunity for anyone considering Wallace State to get the information they need to begin their journey,” said Kristen Holmes, WSCC Vice President for Students. “Whether you’re just starting to explore your options or ready to apply and register for Spring 2026 classes, our team will be here to help.”

Attendees will have access to:

  • Admissions assistance to begin the application process or register for classes
  • Financial Aid support, including help with completing the FAFSA and exploring scholarship opportunities
  • Academic advising to learn more about program options and career pathways
  • Campus tours and program demonstrations, with instructors available to answer questions and showcase hands-on learning experiences

In addition to valuable information and resources, guests can enjoy fun activities, including a bounce house, food and refreshments throughout the event and meet Wally, the Wallace State mascot.
