Addison sophomore Scout Flynn is a true multi-sport athlete, competing for the Bulldogs in football, basketball, baseball, and track.

While he enjoys each sport, basketball has become a natural fit. “I’ve got the right build for it,” he says simply, a confidence backed by his 2026 All-County and 2025 All-Area basketball honors.

Although he is a year-round athlete, Scout maintains a 4.0 GPA and is actively involved in Scholars Bowl, BETA Club, DECA, and Peer Helpers at Addison. Balancing sports and academics isn’t always easy, but he makes it seem effortless.

Looking toward the future, Scout hopes to earn a degree in business and become a financial adviser—unless, of course, athletics opens another door. He dreams of earning a basketball scholarship and playing at the next level, with an eye toward the pros.

What Scout enjoys most about sports has little to do with stats or trophies. “My favorite part is my teammates and the atmosphere,” he said.

One memory stands out above the rest—winning the 2025 Winston County Basketball Tournament. “It was very loud and energetic, and it was at home too,” he said. The Bulldogs have also chalked up a county tournament championship for 2026. “It was a great feeling, especially since we were underdogs,” said Scout. “Meek had already beaten us twice this year, but we worked hard to get the win.”

Scout is intentional about the example he sets, realizing that his impact as a role model means more than any accolades he receives. “Everybody needs someone to look up to,” he said. Scout admires his father, his friend and teammate Elijah, and longtime role model Tim Tebow.

“He practices what he preaches,” Scout said of Tebow, a quality he strives to emulate.

Faith plays a central role in Scout’s life. He attends The Rock Family Worship Center, where he serves by running sound equipment for children’s church and assisting with lessons.

In his spare time, Scout enjoys playing video games—especially sports games. He’s also developed a love for pickleball, and jokes that he wishes it could become a school sport.

Whether he’s competing, serving, or studying, Scout continues to build his future with faith, focus, and hard work. 67
