Addison High School’s Elijah Roberts is more than a three-sport standout—he’s an athlete with a mission. Whether leading the Bulldogs on the football field, basketball court, or track, Elijah uses his platform to live out his number one goal: to point people to Jesus.

“That’s the main goal in everything,” said Elijah. “God gave everybody gifts and talents, so they should use them to point back to Him.”

As the quarterback, Elijah has helped guide Addison’s football team to the third round of the state playoffs this season, with hopes to go to the 1A championship. He has twice earned All-Region and All-County honors, and he has received Player of the Week recognition from multiple media outlets. On the basketball court, he was named the County Tournament MVP in 2025 and has twice earned All-County and All-Area honors. He also excels in track, competing in the high jump, long jump, 400, and 4×100 relay.

Balancing athletics and academics with a 4.0 GPA, Elijah plans to study finance in college. He’s active in BETA Club, DECA, Key Club, Student Council, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he often speaks at Fields of Faith events.

Elijah’s favorite memories include catching his first touchdown pass—from his cousin Jed—during a ninth-grade game at Hackleburg, as well as winning the area basketball championship over Meek two years ago.

Off the field, he enjoys church, golf, and hunting, and he admires NFL quarterback Jaxson Dart for his toughness, saying, “He always stays in there and takes the hits.”

Faith, humility, and heart—those define Elijah Roberts, an athlete who truly competes for a higher purpose. 67
